Advent
and Christmas Schedule
Advent is the beginning of the Church Year. It begins on the
fourth Sunday before Christmas Day and ends on Christmas Eve.
Advent
is a season of preparation, a time when we thank God for
Christ's first coming, prepare for his final coming and
celebrate Christ's presence among us today through the Spirit.

Outreach
BETHLEHEM PROJECT
-
Each year through the
“Bethlehem Project” one of the ways we share the love of Christ
is by providing
Christmas gifts to children, families and the homeless who are
in need both within our parish and the
surrounding community.
-
Gift Tags
- Our traditional
Bethlehem
Project gift tags will be available the weekend of
December 6 and 7. The tags will identify a suggested gift
for family as well as the residents of Pathways to Care.
Those who take a tag are asked to note the instructions on the
back of the tag and bring unwrapped gifts to the church
the weekend of December 13 and 14.
Note: if you are unable to obtain a gift tag, you can
still participate!
We
never seem to have enough
Bethlehem Project gifts for
teenagers and adults
and items such as
simple jewelry, wallets, shirts, sweaters, sweatshirts, socks,
slippers, lotions, shaving supplies, games as well as gift
certificates for items such as clothing, gas, groceries, CDs,
and fast food are always appreciated. These can be dropped
off at the parish office any time prior to December 14.
-
Monetary Contributions
– For those who
don’t like to shop this time of year, monetary contributions
are always welcome. Contributions can be dropped off in the
parish office in an envelope clearly marked “Bethlehem
Project.” There are a few “elves” in the parish who would
love to shop for items needed for our
Bethlehem Project.
