The Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist are offered to children in second grade or higher who have completed at least one year of faith formation or have attended at least one year of Catholic schooling. The sacrament of First Eucharist is one of the three sacraments of initiation into the Catholic faith; it is vital, therefore, that your child be an active member of the parish community into which he or she is being initiated. An active member must have regular attendance at both Mass and faith formation sessions throughout the year preceding preparation for the sacrament. Since sacramental celebrations typically take place within the parish community, it is necessary that your family participates in the worship life of the parish.
Important Date: Parent Orientation Sunday, September 20th at 1:00 p.m. via Zoom
Orientation meeting for all parents of students preparing to celebrate the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist in the fall of 2020 and the spring of 2021. This meeting will cover how your child will be prepared given the guidelines provided by the Diocese of Orlando and the CDC to keep everyone safe and healthy. Since materials and costs to the parish remain the same, the fee requested of $100 for the year in addition to the cost of faith formation will remain the same. Please note: No child or adult will ever be denied the reception of a sacrament because of financial hardship. If you need financial assistance, please contact Jo Ann Elder or Wanda Chandia in the Faith Formation Office at 407-322-3961 x 211.
