By the end of this week, we will be turning our attention to preparing for the sacraments of Confirmation and First Eucharist!
Our Confirmation candidates will be going on an overnight retreat next weekend, February 18-19 at the San Pedro Center in Winter Park. I hope you will join me in praying for our young people as they open their hearts and minds to God, inviting the Holy Spirit to work in them and through them, as they prepare to become fully initiated Roman Catholic disciples of Jesus Christ.
Sacramental preparation sessions for First Eucharist will begin on Monday, February 27th at 6:30 p.m. in the church. There are four sessions (2/27, 3/6, 3/27, and 4/3). Because the celebration of the Eucharist is the source and summit of our faith as Catholics, attendance at all four sessions is necessary for participation in the reception of the sacrament the weekend of April 29/30th. All R.C.I.A. catechumens must attend these sessions as well. Please contact me if you have any scheduling issues.
