The Church’s celebration of the Nativity of the Lord is now officially over as we once again enter into Ordinary Time – those Sundays that are numbered and in which we have the opportunity to “grow” in our faith. This is also the month that we begin offering our annual one hour
Learning About L.I.F.E. (Love – Infatuation – Friendship – Exploitation) classes. Bishop John Noonan of the Diocese of Orlando has provided this family based program along with the necessary training for our catechists to facilitate it. The bishop has asked each parish to provide this class to each student, along with one of their parents, every year that they are in faith formation. Since a child’s physical, emotional, and spiritual safety can be a sensitive topic, it is vital that a parent accompany their child(ren) to their age appropriate session. These classes are offered during normal faith formation or youth group times so as not to disrupt your family’s schedules.
If your child(ren) are in
PreK, Kindergarten, 1st or 2nd grade, their L.I.F.E. class will take place this week on Wednesday
Jan. 18th (for those who come to Family Faith Formation)
OR on Sunday,
Jan. 29th (for those who attend Sunday morning classes)
. If you have any questions about this program, or
if you and your child cannot attend for whatever reason,
please contact Nancy Davis prior to the scheduled session.
